The owner was one of the first to put up webcams in her home (certainly the first and only one on the Isle of Wight). Her home is haunted and I’ve seen many caps that are definitely paranormal in nature and not easily explained away as a camera glitch of some kind. The site is entertaining and the owner has set up night vision cams and cams with motion sensors as well. The only issue I don’t like is the password protection on the cams, but as the owner has been experiencing bandwidth theft as of late, it was a necessary thing to do. Overall great site and great job in setting it up! 5 bones- WOW- don’t miss it! |

| Ghosts Among Us | http://www.ghostsamongus.net | Reviewed by GhstL8y | 5 BONES |

For my first website review I feel a bit obligated to review the one I spend the most time at, Ghosts Among Us. I'm not sure how I came across this site, probably from a portal site or voting site somewhere, but it's been a long time and I just simply refuse to leave! Ghosts Among Us has everything a paranormal website needs, and then some. They offer current news and often updated paranormal articles, which are very well written by not only the site's staff, but also by the members of the site! The forum at this site is one to be reckoned with, there are just too many paranormal topics to get through in one evening - or even a week. There's truly something for everybody. The staff and members are like a family at Thanksgiving dinner - they will argue their points of view till they're blue in the face, and you can just feel the love come through during each and every spat! Actually, there aren't too many spats, just a refreshing dose of honesty! The members range from mediums and ghost hunters to skeptics and just plain non-believers, all of whom are treated with the individual respect they deserve. This site offers a coppermine of photos ranging from personal photos to members' paranormal pictures to web cam captures (which are also debated in the forums to great extent). The thing that impresses me the most about this site is the fact that they can, and do, debunk a great many of the submissions. Not in a bad way, but in a respectful and often scientific way. This line of thinking is not shared by many paranormal sites - there are far too many that will oooh and aaah over every speck of dust or piece of hair that got on the way of the lens and assure its members that it's paranormal. If that's not enough, ghostsamongus has plenty of armchair ghosthunter entertainment to keep us busy with a total of 13 hosted live web cams from three reported haunted locations, and the promise of more to come! This is one of those websites that you will want to visit each and every day and become one of the family. I'm giving this site the ultimate WOW - 5 Bones! |

This British Website is a very interesting one! I enjoy going there from
time to time to read their articles—they have a great deal of them on any
and every paranormal topic there is! The forum is interesting too and I
especially enjoy reading the members paranormal experiences. They host the
Craig Y Nos Castle webcams also. In short, lots to read and lots to do on the site. I really do encourage people to check in on them and register if they can! 5 bones – WOW - Don’t miss it! |

The owner of this site is Steve Gonsalves, TAPS tech manager. The site has an attractive flash intro but when we clicked enter, it took us back to the flash intro, glitch in the intro perhaps? The site is really a good one. There is a lot of paranormal information to learn about here. The bummer is that they have been announcing a forum for quite some time now, but never manage to set it up. A real pity, as a forum would make the site unbeatable! 4 bones – Good-I really like it. |

Pictures
of Angels and Ghosts since 2004 at this website. Very entertaining and easy
to navigate. Lots of ghost stories as well! The only thing I find at fault
is that they should update the site more often with new photos as well as
stories for us to read about. Very good link database which is kept up to
date!
Keep up the good work! |

“The purpose of this website is to tell you a little about us and to give
you a sense of what we do and what we experience on a ghost investigation.
And if you feel you'd like to join in - then you can! We often run public
ghost hunts where you can join us on a night. Just take a look below at
what we've got coming up. You'll love it. Happy ghost hunting!” A very good UK paranormal website to visit. Lots of photographs where you can leave a comment on what you think you see in the picture. I especially enjoyed the Articles section where you can read about what they think of ghost hunting and ouija boards as well as dowsing. Ghost hunts and events are well-organized. The upcoming events were sold out! There is a lot to read and learn about on this site and it is very easy to navigate around it. |

| OKC-PRG / OPRA Research Cams | Reviewed by GhstL8y | 4 BONES | |
|
I’m hooked!! Yes, I am truly hooked on these web cams. There are eight
live web cams set up in an old, abandoned hospital located in Oklahoma City.
Seven of the cams are actually AT the hospital and four of those work. The
eighth cam is called a Harry Price cam, whatever that means, and looks to be
set up in a child’s playroom of some sort, somewhere. Is it in the
hospital? I don’t know, it’s confusing. The room has dolls and dolls are
creepy so I avert my eyes from that cam anyway. Does it sound like I’m not
liking this site? Not true at all, I just wish they would fix the other
cams, that’s all. My absolute favorite thing here is that you can not only
watch the hospital on the live cams, but you can LISTEN to the hospital –
yes, that’s what I said, listen to it live!! How exciting! If there’s
another ghost cam site on the net with audio, I have yet to find it. 5+
Bones on originality! So I turned up my speakers and clicked the link and
didn’t hear a damn thing! But maybe I will tomorrow, or the next day! I
hope it works! I will be back! The other issue I would bring up is that
the cams refresh every 15 seconds and on each refresh I start over at the
top of the page, so this makes it nearly impossible for me to watch the
bottom four cams or read through the text at the bottom of the page. Fix
that and I’ll give the whole site 5 Bones! Oh, yeah, they also have a message board, gallery and chat. I was so busy with the cams I didn’t even get to them, but I’m sure I’ll make my way there soon enough. Of note, they also link to something called A.R.C.A.D.I.A. which is an in depth, scientific approach to ghost hunting, complete with tips for the beginner to the advanced. Good tips at that. I spent as much time at A.R.C.A.D.I.A. as I did at the cams. I’m unclear if this is part of the same site or something different that they felt was so good they wanted to share, so I’m not going to review A.R.C.A.D.I.A. separately. I suspect it is part of the research webcam site and am including it in this review. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Great job guys - you get 4 Bones from me! |

It was great to come upon this site! Just like we do for the paranormal, you
will find this group of people giving reviews on people who are UFO fans or
groups who investigate UFO’s, UFO books, and even documentaries. I found the
site easy to navigate and the layout was easy on the eyes LOL. On clicking
the link you are directed to a page with several links: “News, About and
Contact” at the top and “Hall of Shame, Caveat emptor, and Hall of Fame”
directly below. Hall of Shame lists the ugly in the UFO world, while Hall
of Fame lists the good. Caveat emptor warns about hoaxes in the UFO world. I
was really impressed with this. The site has a lot to offer and just like we do here at Paranormal Watchdog, attempts to advise people on what to look for if you want good evidence of UFO’s. A great site in my opinion and I give it 4 bones. |

| ASYLUMCAM | http://www.asylumcam.com/ | Reviewed by Cassandra | 3 BONES |

Boasting the title of ‘the Internet’s most popular paranormal community’, this website is designed for the armchair ghost hunter. Yes, we did find a great variety of ghost cams to watch (owner has several set up at his home). We also discovered that a lot of caps are due to motion blur of people who live in the home as well as cam distortion due to heavily pixilated areas in the dark. Many of the new members are told to cap when in doubt. Consequently, no serious capping is done and when debunking begins, the more serious members are usually told to keep quiet. Lots of people on chat and playing games. Where are the ghost hunters then? Recently an attempt to turn the site into a more paranormal one has been made and lots of articles are put up on the home page. However, most of the articles are from other websites and not many are written by the asylumcam members or moderators. It is a real shame that this website is more of a social gathering than anything else. |

| From the UK comes a team of paranormal believers at hauntedbritain.net. If you want a good place to sit and watch a few interesting videos ranging from “Ghost Hunters (1975)” to “Amityville, the Story Behind the Legend” you have come to the right place. If you are looking for a place to see amazing unexplainable photos from around the world, don’t bother! Aside from the interesting videos and a few good articles, this website doesn’t have the “WOW” factor. First of all, on their welcome page they are quoted saying “we conduct paranormal investigations in an effort to prove the existence of ghosts.” That’s wonderful since that’s mostly what we are all trying to do but no where on that website does it say that they’re trying to scientifically debunk the fakes or the obviously explainable. What I got from this website is that they are calling everything from light anomalies, orbs, and “smoke” a ghost! Yes there are a couple of interesting pictures but as I scrolled through them I could easily say to myself, “oh that’s a reflection or camera flash!” Since they have interesting videos that I do believe you should take the time to watch I give them 2 bones for effort. | |||

Lots of pictures that have nothing to do with ghosts or the paranormal. Orbs
that are clearly bugs or dust particles as well as moisture. Lots of
matrixing/pareidolia going on and everything that is in the photograph and
is anomalous is looked upon as a ghost.
Pages not put together well, everything looks messy. We think that this is an amateur ghost hunter who should do some researching before setting up a website. |

The first thing that comes to mind when clicking on the link is what in the
world is the image of a wizard doing on a ghost/paranormal website? The
owner has cams set up in her home. We have viewed some of the caps and think
that they are explainable and not paranormal in nature. People are friendly
there, not much scientific discussion going around. Members there tend to
applaud to pixel caps and cam distortions.
Webcam Portal is a good addition to an otherwise boring site with not much to offer. |

| The Haunted Diary | Reviewed by GhstL8y | 2 BONES | |
|
The premise for this web site is that the owner and her mother both live in
haunted houses. They have kept diaries of paranormal happenings in their
homes. This part of the site was pretty interesting. I’m not saying that
everything stated is truly paranormal, like the day that a plate fell on the
floor – complete with a photo of a plate on the floor, but I certainly am
not in the position to say that the authors are not being truthful. At any
rate, I did enjoy the diary somewhat. There are two “live” ghost cams set
up on the site, one located in each of the two homes. Above the cams is
stated that a new image will load every 20 seconds and that the page will
automatically refresh. The first cam shows a wall with some clocks on it,
last updated in October of 2007. The second shows a dining room table with
what appears to be a very large mirror behind it, last updated March, 2007.
How live are they, really? This site simply looks choppy and cheesy. The paragraphs are chopped up and unintelligible and the link buttons consist of large graphics with difficult to read fonts. I clicked on several links from the home page, the first being a graphic that says to “navigate here”, which led absolutely nowhere. There are a few navigation buttons below, one of which suggests it takes you to things that are “in the news”. This button simply takes you to a list of links to articles in the owner’s local newspapers where the owners’ names are mentioned, not the current paranormal news articles I was hoping for. As a matter of fact, there are a total of five links from the home page that takes you to media coverage of the owners and/or their site. Are we a bit proud of ourselves? On one page I found a banner advertising the 5th Paranormal Get Together in Gettysburg – in August of 2006. I’m writing this review in February of 2008. I was also a bit peeved by the “paranormal search bar” where you type in a keyword and it searches for it within their own site! I fully expected a web search, but was once again misled. The site does offer a message forum and a live chat room. I was going to register because I could see that there were five or six people in the chatroom and I wanted to say hi and see if I could get any information about the site or its owners. However, after about 20 minutes of reading their terms and conditions I got to the part that if I agreed to the terms, then I couldn’t post anything about the site anywhere else on the web without written permission. I gather that they would want to actually see this review before approving me to talk about their site, so I decided it best to not agree to the terms and review them anyway. Sorry girls, but I was quite disappointed with your site and give you only 2 Bones. Let me know if you ever update it and want me to re-review you. |

This site has been put up by paranormal investigators, though I am confused
with the layout of the site and the information! They have the chat box
appearing on every page of the forum, and you have to scroll down to read
the topics, making it all tedious and confusing. I wanted to view more on
information on ghost hunting and at least the history of the group, but
could find none! I did become absorbed in their Paranormal Evidence Forum
but was rather disappointed to find more pics of orbs than anything else.
The site has 133 members and looks deserted most of the time. A real shame as I would be sharing all my evidence as a ghost hunter and writing out articles to make the site more appealing! I give the site 2 bones (Bad – Needs Improvement) |

| This looks like a very promising group of individuals who are sincere about the paranormal. On their welcome page they let you in on their goals and procedures along with a little about themselves. They have a research page with a few good links including American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena, Parapsychology Foundation, and the Parapsychology Association. All of which are excellent sites to expand your knowledge on what “ghost hunting” is about. If you are in the Tucson Arizona area, they have a services page with steps on how to go about getting a “No Fee Investigations of Reported Haunted Locations”. The site looks as if it might be a baby site with a lot of “coming soon” attractions including their own investigation reports, pictures, etc. I give this site 2 bones because there isn’t much to look at now but I will sure be back to check out the progress of the site over time! So don’t get discouraged guys, you still have so much room for improvement! | |||

| Where do you begin when you come across a website that only has two stories written by the same person on it? Well I will tell you where I begin; these stories are terribly written and hard to follow. The stories submitted by Ann Pocklington sound absurd as she talks about catching the “ghosts” in a damp jar and setting them free in the woods! I don’t know about anyone else but this is the first time that I have heard you were able to catch them! There are no pictures on this website and only one forum posting which are the rules for the forum. When you try to look at the news link you are brought to this page that is trying to sell you books and cd’s and the only “news” is stuff they took off of about.com. There are currently 111 registered users on this site and if you don’t want to be one who’s wasted their time, I highly suggest passing this one up. I give this website 1 bone, only because zero wasn’t an option. | |||
